Nomination Papers Filed !

It’s official, my nomination papers were filed at Parksville City Hall yesterday and I am now listed as an official candidate for Parksville City Council.  If you’d like to check out the papers (and those of other candidates) click here.

Aside from a short break during the visit of a certain granddaughter, I have been steadily working my way across the neighborhoods of Parksville. 

To date I have graced 2,102 doorsteps using 160,688 steps to cover 88.15 km over 88 hours of campaigning … and I’m enjoying every minute of it.

Usually it’s just a quick introduction with a few words exchanged, but every day there have been good chats about the current state and future of our city. I have really appreciated the time afforded me and the opportunity to meet so many of you. 

Kudos to Eagle Park Terrace for being the unofficial “chattiest street in Parksville” !

With the nomination process completed, the pace will pick up, articles and interviews will be printed in local media and election signs will be magically appearing on lawns and along our streets.  I expect there will be at least one All Candidates Forum so stay tuned for news on that.
